What is the COOLA Sunless Tan 2-in-1 Applicator/Exfoliator Mitt?
It is a double-sided, washable mitt designed for the two steps of a good self-tan. One side is made with organic sisal to gently buff away dead skin and old tan residue; the other is soft terrycloth for applying COOLA sunless tanners evenly, streak free, while protecting your palms from staining.
Do I need the COOLA 2-in-1 Mitt to use COOLA self-tanners?
It is not mandatory, but it makes an even, streak-free result much easier and keeps your palms from going orange. COOLA recommends it for the Sunless Tan Express Sculpting Mousse in particular. It suits anyone using the Gradual Tan Firming Lotion, Dry Oil Mist or the Sunless Gradual Face Serum as well.
How do I use the COOLA Sunless Tan Mitt?
Before tanning, exfoliate with the coarse sisal side on wet or dry skin. Then apply your COOLA sunless tanner to the terrycloth side, damp or dry, and rub it evenly onto dry skin in circular motions. Hand wash and dry the mitt after each use, and wash your hands as well.
How long does the COOLA 2-in-1 Mitt last?
The mitt is washable and reusable, so with hand washing and air drying after each session it lasts through many tanning applications. COOLA does not state a replacement interval; replace it when the sisal side feels worn or the terrycloth no longer applies evenly. Store it dry between uses.
Which COOLA products work with the 2-in-1 Mitt?
It is built for the COOLA Organic Sunless Tan collection: the Sunless Tan Express Sculpting Mousse, Sunless Gradual Tan Firming Lotion and Organic Sunless Tan Dry Oil Mist. You can also use the sisal side as a regular body exfoliator before applying any COOLA body sunscreen or the Radical Recovery After Sun Lotion.
Can I use the exfoliating side of the COOLA Mitt every day?
The sisal side is designed to be gentle, but exfoliating is best kept to before each tan application or a couple of times a week rather than daily, especially on sensitive skin. Do not use it on broken, irritated or freshly sunburned skin. Rinse and dry it fully to keep it fresh.
Does the COOLA Mitt stop my hands from staining?
Yes, that is one of its main jobs. The terrycloth applicator side sits between your palm and the tanner so colour goes onto your body, not your hand. COOLA still recommends washing your hands after use. If you apply tanner without the mitt, wash your palms promptly.
